Azicon has been installing visual aids since 1988. Since then, Azicon has worked on many visual aids projects from survey and installation to final adjustment and flight-testing to ICAO and FAA standards. Azicon has specialized staff who are conversant with all relevant rules and regulations having, in some cases, worked exclusively in the Airport environment. Our staff has consulted for several projects in Somalia, Ethiopia and Rwanda.

We installed control and monitoring systems for Visual Aids and Airfield Lighting at JKIA, Wilson, Malindi, Kisumu and Mombasa Airports. Azicon has also consulted on the design of interface systems for numerous control and monitoring systems.

We installed Air navigational Aids in many Airports in Kenya including installation of Doppler Very High Frequency Omni range (DVOR), Distance Measuring Equipments (DME), Instrument Landing System (ILS), and Non Directional Beacons (NDB).

Azicon has experience in HF, VHF, UHF and Microwave Radio including trunking systems and air navigation radio systems.

Azicon has vast experience in laying and terminating control and electrical cables in the Airport environment. In previous contracts Azicon has done the complete trenching, installation, and compaction process while laying control and electrical cables in all types of environments.

At Azicon, we have a rigging section, which is able to install antennas and masts of all types. Previous rigging work has been done for ICAO at Gigiri, Moi International Airport, Mogadishu International Airport- Somalia, and Kigali International Airport - Rwanda, Simba Security and several others.

Azicon is registered by the Ministry of energy in Kenya as a class A Electrical contractor. This means that Azicon is licensed to handle all types of electrical installations. Indeed within the airport environment Azicon (K) Limited has performed all types of electrical installations including high voltage cabling at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and the supply of the complete external power distribution system at Eldoret International Airport.

Azicon has considerable experience in navigational systems from survey, installation, setup and flight-testing. We have installed Navigational Aids in many Airports in Kenya including installation of Doppler Very High Frequency Omni range (DVOR), Distance Measuring Equipments (DME), Instrument Landing System (ILS), and Non Directional Beacons (NDB). In this regard, we participated with Navigation Aeronav of Canada to install the several equipment at Eldoret on turnkey bases. Our staff have wide experience with radar systems.
